Jerry "J.J." Morgan Ph.D., a D'Iberville native, was named the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the Pascagoula School District in July 2008. He has 16 years of experience in education. Prior to the P.S.D., he served as a principal in the Gulfport School District at Bayou View Middle School and Gaston Point Elementary. In that time, G.P.E.'s school level accreditation increased each year and Bayou View Middle School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School in 2008. Bayou View Middle School ranked as high as #9 overall in the state on the School Performance Index. Before his administrative experience, he taught mathematics and coached in Gulfport, Biloxi and George County school districts. Dr. Morgan is married to Lu Marie Morgan. They have a seven-year old daughter, Patricia, and a three-year-old son, Joseph.
